If you watch the market, you have probably noted that Jaguar XKs are one of the hottest cars of any type. But did you ever stop to wonder why? Well, one drive of this fully restored 1959 Jaguar XK150 will clear everything up for you. They are valuable because they are just as nice to drive (especially at higher speeds) as they are to look at.

The XK150 was a slight evolution of the 140 and for many enthusiasts, it is a good blend of dramatic styling and comfort. For my money, the convertible might just be the prettiest of the three body styles, offering the awesome long nose, short deck that's just pure art in motion. The black paint complements it wonderfully, making this car look serious and mature, just the way a Jaguar should. Paint quality is good, befitting a car that will be more valuable next year than it is today, and there is no metallic in it, so it looks right on the vintage Sheetmetal. We are lucky enough to get our hands on this beauty. The exterior is in exceptional condition with what is believed to be the original Sierra Gold paint. The chrome is in excellent condition and shines as if it just rolled out of the showroom. This particular car left the factory with a staggering 30 options from the factory this is definitely a one of a kind Tri-Five. The interior is in its original glory with the two tone of cream and brown accenting the exterior very nicely. The tan top looks brand new probably because it is. The top was professionally redone a little over a year ago but has basically remained inside since completed. Under the hood lies the original 283 that was completely gone through a little over 8000 miles ago. It still has the original power pack option installed as well which only adds to the appeal. The original 2 speed power-glide transmission still shifts nicely with firm and positive up-shifts just like it did in '57. This Bel Air hard top has all the outward appearance of a factory restoration, but under the hood is far from the original V8 engine. Powering this 57' Bel Air is a 383 Stroker V8 engine with a Magnum camshaft, AFR heads, chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake and carburetor, and new lifters, push rods, roller rocker arms, and timing chain. Headers flow from the heads to the full exhaust and produce a fabulous rumble. A new 7 quart Moroso oil pan an H-V oil pump have been installed as well. A Muncie 4 speed manual transmission transfers the power to the 3. 55 Posi-Trac rear end and makes driving this classic car a blast. To slow this hot rod down, drilled and slotted disc brakes have been installed up front and do and fantastic job.
