Its beautiful bodylines, silver paint and white wall tires make it very attractive. The styling of the Buick Special Series 40 was modified for 1937 with several noticeable changes including such items as the front grille horizontal bars with divider down the center, the fenders were revised and given squared off ends and the height was lowered nearly 2' without sacrificing interior room since the floors were lowered as well. The exterior body is very nice, and the silver paint shows well. The white wheels with white wall tires compliment the exterior nicely. The interior looks good and is in good shape. The classic style dash is timeless and all the gauges work. The windows roll up and down smoothly and the seats are very comfortable. The rear seating area is extremely spacious. The trunk compartment is well organized with the spare tire and shelves for storage. The engine compartment is highly detailed and showcases the OHV Buick V8 engine. This engine starts with no hesitation and runs great. It has a turbo 400 transmission....

Some cars are meant to be driven and some cars are meant to be driven in, this 1925 Buick is the latter. Pure class and elegance from an American motor company competing directly with some of Europe's finest. This Phaeton was loaded with top of the line features for its time. Featuring the newly released 6 Cylinder engine pushing out more power and paired with the all new at the time technology of 4 wheel drum brakes this Buick was sitting on the forefront of innovation. This example here has gone through an older restoration but still shows incredibly well. All mechanical options have been gone through making it a safe and reliable 100 year old vehicle! During the restoration this car was taken from the standard rather dull grey or black paint job and recoated in a vibrant yellow paint with green vinyl interior. From 1936 to 1958, Buick's Special model range represented the marque's entry level full-size automobile. The '36 was a very successful year for Buick and also marked the first time of using names rather than the simple serial numbers which had been in use before. The Special continued to also be known as the 40-series, however. The first Specials rode on a 118 in (3. 0 m) wheelbase, but for the next model year this was increased to 122 in (3. 10 m) as all Buicks grew for that year. The eight-cylinder engine was also new and was now of 248 cu in (4. 1 L) rather than 233 cu in (3. 8 L). The Special (and all other Buicks as well) underwent a full restyling for 1939, with a more enclosed nose and a wider grille. The wheelbase was also two inches shorter.
