The Chevrolet Chevelle is widely regarded as the symbol of American muscle, and this 1967 Chevelle carries on the spirit. With 350 (bored. 030 over) CID V8, built with a mild cam, you'll feel the power, as you shift gears through the 4-speed. The 350 power plant and the 4-speed manual transmission were rebuilt about 2 years ago. The Muncie M20 4 -'speed gives you the ability to control the shifts and feel what that these muscle cars are all about. To insure the car will handle the fresh drivetrain, new springs have been installed front and rear. The front end has also been rebuilt including the brakes with new brake lines. The wiring has also been replaced, something a lot of people over looked when fixing these old cars up. Overall, the Chevelle is mechanically sound and ready for the road. This 1974 Malibu Sport Coupe (designed for NASCAR racing), built in 2005 in Minnesota from a rust-free body shell from Oklahoma, with Laguna parts added (fiberglass front grill cap, opera window slats).

The car was strictly a driver, around the northern Minnesota area with occasional trips to the Twin Cities for shows - always garaged and just summer-driven.

A picture of the car appeared in Popular Street Rodding Magazine shortly after it was built.

The 454 engine was built by a pro engine builder in Minnesota (425 estimated HP, Holley 770cfm carb, build specs attached), a Turbo 400 tranny, and a 3. 70 posi in a HD 10-bolt rear end.

The engine compartment is custom-built and painted, with an electric fan, tranny oil cooler, and power steering.

All the suspension parts were replaced with new HD parts to match the new engine.

The interior is from a circa 2000 Chrysler 300 (front buckets w/power driver's seat, console) upholstered in black velour with matching rear seat, with custom door panel stitching, a 4- gauge cluster from a Camaro set into the dash and a steering-wheel-mounted tach, a B&M T-Handle floor...

The most extensive redesign in its 10-year history marked the 1973 Chevelle. Due to concern over proposed Federal rollover standards, convertible and 4-door hardtop models were discontinued, while the 2-door hardtop was replaced by a pillared coupe named 'Colonnade Hardtop'. This body style featured a semi-fastback roofline, frameless door glass and fixed, styled 'B' pillars, structurally strong enough to contribute to occupant safety of a roll-over type accident. This move was somewhat controversial with the buying public as hardtops had been a staple of American cars for over 20 years and their presence almost taken for granted. Once the initial surprise was overcome however, the Colonnade models became a huge sales success. The Maroon paint of the Chevelle is believed original from the factory and shows well. Things scaled down considerably when the 4th generation Malibu was introduced. Losing over a foot of overall length and 500 to 1000lbs from previous models.
