Nothing is quite as charming as a prewar Pickup truck. These narrow nosed, flowing fendered style of trucks harken back to a time in America when hard honest work was the only way to live. This 1939 AK Series GMC maintains a mostly stock appearance with green body panels, black fenders and finished wood sideboards. The panels and fenders are all steel and were painted in 2017. Take a seat inside the cab and you're greeted by a dash with factory style gauges and the steering column holds an auxiliary tachometer. Turn the crank on the dash and vent the windshield to catch the wind in your hair. Pop the hood and the factory appearance quickly vanishes. Originally this truck was would have came equipped with a simple inline 6 cylinder but what you see today is a small block Chevy 350 V8 and is paired to a 3 speed automatic.
