The Sedan/pickup truck was one that turned the eyes of the people when this baby was first coming off the production line in South Bend Indiana. Back in 1927 Studebaker decided to rename their products and the Dictator was chosen. It was implied that the model 'dictated the standard' that other auto makers would be obliged to follow. Then in 1937 with the rise of Nazism in Germany, Studebaker decided to ditch the name all together. This Dictator is definitely something it never knew it could be, as you could imagine, a Restomod Studebaker from the late 20's is surely in a category all its own.
