This car represents a great example of vintage post-war race car and would look great at any show.

Powering this piece of history is a Offenhauser 110 CID DOHC 4-cylinder motor. This engine features Hilborn fuel injection which is said to be the first fuel injection system created and was desired by many racers of the era. Paired up with the engine is a 2-speed manual -in and out- transmission with your choice of either neutral or GO! The quick-change rear end made this car capable of interchangeable gearing for different racing needs to improve the odds of a win. To provide the stopping power of this beautiful beast is 4-wheel disk-brakes that sit behind 12- aluminum wheels with knock-offs. A complete tubed steel chassis and aluminum dash aided in the car being light weight improving its overall performance. The tires are Firestone 150-12 in the front and M&H Racemaster 150-12 and are in good condition.

This sweet ride only has roughly 50k original miles on it! Between the deep yellow paint job and the tasteful exhaust note, this car is definitely a very nice example of a late C3 Corvette.

Under the hood of this beauty is the original 350 CID L48 engine. The powerplant of this car has been taken care of very well and pulls nicely. Providing spark to the engine are new A/C Delco plug wires. The front engine mounts were also replaced to help provide a firm feel of the drivetrain. Pleasing the ear are newly installed headers and side pipes. Sending the power to the rear axle is a four-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly, yet firmly through the gears to provide an engaged driving experience. When it comes time to light up the rear tires and let the bald eagles scream, the driver will appreciate the limited slip differential.

Moving outward, the exterior of this retro sportscar is finished in a nice yellow paint that has excellent depth and shine. One of the irritations with older vehicles is the difficulty of starting a carbureted engine in cold weather, carb tuning and cleaning and general maintenance that goes along with it. The LS1 engine is a modern all aluminum V8 that takes away the headaches of the older designed power plants. Not only is it more reliable, but it is also much better on fuel and allows for generation of big power along with lightweight design. The LS1 is combined with a fantastic and smooth shifting 4L60 transmission. The truck has a posi rear end with 3:42 gearing which allows for great traction and low rpms on the highway. Ford first reprised the now-famous 1968 Ford Mustang GT that Steve McQueen drove in the movie 'Bullitt', when it brought out a Bullitt edition Mustang GT in 2001. The 2001 version was primarily enhanced for better handling than the stock GT, with a 3/4-inch lower ride height, Tokico shocks, and sub-frame connectors. It also received mild performance-enhancing upgrades vs. the stock GT, with higher flow mufflers and underdrive pulleys, along with a remapped ECM that enabled it to produce more torque at lower RPM. Other elements paying homage to the '68 that McQueen drove included gauge faces and seat upholstery patterned after McQueen's more famous Mustang.

In 2008, for the 40th anniversary of the movie, Ford brought us the next generation Bullitt, which sported several enhancements to differentiate it from mere Mustang GTs. In 2008, the Bullitt Mustangs were actually Mustang GTs with the optional Bullitt package; as opposed to being 'Bullitt Mustangs' like the 2001's were.
