The 1976 model year for the Corvette included multiple advancements in safety and driver comfort due to the tightening federal safety standards and customers searching for more comfort oriented sports cars. Gone were the split chrome bumpers, replaced with polyurethane covers to hide the aluminum impact bar and Omark brackets. This upgrade in safety and styling was embraced by Corvette enthusiasts who agreed that it gave this era of Corvette a more modern look. The yellow paint shines nicely showing off the body which appears to be in excellent shape. Under the hood is the original L48 engine that has been meticulously maintained having its routine maintenance done religiously. This Corvette has new suspension components, new exhaust, upgraded electronic ignition, a new carburetor, new tires, and the radiator was also rebuilt, serving to keeping this small block nice and cool. Speaking of cool, the AC blows cool enough to keep you quite comfortable on those hot sunny days.
