When this Goldwood Yellow Impala SS rolled from the GM assembly line in 1964, it was one of the sharpest Chevrolets ever produced. The '1447' VIN code identifies this restored '64 Sport Coupe as a true SS V8. Every indication is that it was an original 4-speed car, most likely a 327ci small-block. The 943 code Goldwood Yellow paint is a nice contrast to the white interior and looks great from any angle. Originally a 327SS car, under the hood now lurks a 454 CID Chevy Big Block V8 with lots of chrome goodies, including polished aluminum intake with polished Holley 4BBL carb, chrome valve covers, Backing the stout big block is the SS Muncie 4 Speed Manual transmission with overdrive. Fire this puppy up and listen to the throaty burble that emanates from the dual exhaust while you get settled in to the cockpit, which just screams nostalgia. White vinyl seating is nicely offset by the multi-hued Black and Chrome, and the black carpet, which looks very fresh. This particular all-steel '39 was treated to a tastefully done Pearl White paint job, with Red pinstripe that is show quality. All the chrome, trim, and bumpers appear to be new - or re-chromed - which just makes this example pop! The suicide rear doors are another positive when it comes to access to the rear passenger compartment. This fine example is powered by a rebuilt 350 cu in V-8, mated to a rebuilt Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine bay is very well detailed, with polished and chrome accessories, and a nice set of chrome horns proudly mounted on the firewall. There is no doubt, the craftsmen that worked on this car, knew what they were doing, and did her right! The Burgundy cloth/tweed interior shows very well - as they didn't go over-board utilizing the tweed material - back to my statement of tasteful - it still looks current! Keeping her current a/c was added, front-only power windows, tilt column, leather-wrapped steering wheel, bench seat, VDO gauges. Take a look in the trunk - and no surprise - she's detailed as well....

In '57, the Chevy lineup ranged from 150s to Bel Airs; with the hard top being the most attractive body style after the convertible. The hard tops had no B post which gave a seamless look, especially with all the windows rolled down. This example certainly catches the eye with its red paint and two toned interior. The trim is all there, and in great to fair condition. The bumpers are beautifully chromed and can double as a mirror in a pinch. This one rides on period correct hub caps and white wall tires. Under the hood, this car sports a 283 CID V8 with a 4-barrel carb. This set up provides plenty of power and is a tried and true powerplant. This beautifully built truck started as a southern car that originally came from Kansas. The owner claims it to be all original body panels on this truck, no repairs done to the body since its been built back in 1964!
