If you watch the market, you have probably noted that Jaguar XKs are one of the hottest cars of any type. But did you ever stop to wonder why? Well, one drive of this fully restored 1959 Jaguar XK150 will clear everything up for you. They are valuable because they are just as nice to drive (especially at higher speeds) as they are to look at.
The XK150 was a slight evolution of the 140 and for many enthusiasts, it is a good blend of dramatic styling and comfort. For my money, the convertible might just be the prettiest of the three body styles, offering the awesome long nose, short deck that's just pure art in motion. The black paint complements it wonderfully, making this car look serious and mature, just the way a Jaguar should. Paint quality is good, befitting a car that will be more valuable next year than it is today, and there is no metallic in it, so it looks right on the vintage Sheetmetal. Panel fit on these cars was indifferent (they were hand-built, after all) but during the restoration they sorted all that out and it fits together quite nicely today. The chrome was also...
