Michael Jackson releases Thriller Album, the first CD player sold in Japan and General Motors was ending production of the C3 Corvette whose body dated back to 1968, but whose basic chassis design went back to the C2 of 1963! The Bowling Plant closed in October of 1982 to begin re-tooling for the new 1984 C4 Corvette. This Monte Carlo is powered by a strong 350 V8 paired to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. It has been under the same ownership since 1976, and had a full restoration done in 2006. When doing this 3 year long restoration both the transmission and engine were rebuilt as well. Of course it contains all of the major creature comforts including Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, Power Brakes and Power Steering.
