For the uninitiated, the Midget was a product of the Midget Motors Corporation of Athens, Ohio, a postwar automaker that for a while was actually the sixth-largest in America! The Model III was sold fully assembled and was advertised in magazines like Popular Mechanics and Mechanix Illustrated. It was billed as both 'World's Number One Fun Car' and 'World's Most Exciting Small Car', and many people still believe it is! These people, and countless others, helped King Midget establish an important and significant niche in the annals of automobile history.
