The 5th generation Fairlane-s most notable difference was the vertical headlights introduced in 1966. This 1967 Ford 4 door sedan is very much like it was when produced. The 289 V-8 with 2 barrel carburetor is the original engine. It was rebuilt a few years ago, and has several more years ahead of it. The engine is coupled to a C-4 3-speed automatic that sends the power to a moderately gear rear end. This combination will allow the Fairlane to cruise highway speeds and get respectable mpg.
