1969 was a banner year for the Corvette. Though the model year did run 4 months longer due to labor disputes it was still considered as the best year to date for sales and would stay that way until 76. The design was basically the same as the 68 but all of the small problems had been addressed making the 69 known as the people's Corvette. Gone was the awkward two part push button door handle that irritated just about every single 68 owner.
