The Volkswagen Beetle was produced from 1938-2003. The original Beetle was powered by a 25 hp 4-cylinder engine capable of 62 mph which would have allowed it to drive on the Autobahn.

By 1970 a new 1600 cc 4 cylinder was added raising the power to 60 hp with twin port cylinder heads and a relocated larger oil cooler. For the 1973 model year new larger 'elephant foot' taillamps were added to the rear fender skirts in addition to a dry air filter system with an alternator replacing the previous generator.

This example has been upgraded in a few ways including front disc brakes, a 2' narrowed beam exhaust and dual 40 carbs. There has also been new fuel, oil, ball joints, shocks and new dual carbs. The interior has a custom steering-wheel and the headlights have rock screens to protect the lenses. The Beetle has a lowered stance and rides on 205 70 R15's in the rear and 185 65R 15's in the front.
