1970 Mercury Cyclone

View Description

This beast is the product of a five year long complete rotisserie restoration done by The Winning Collection, designed to take this final gen Cyclone to the pinnacle of what it could be. Bathed in an attention-grabbing House of Kolor Chrome Yellow finish, with semi-gloss black striping that matches the chin and tail spoilers, this car is striking. Custom 17-inch Magnum 500-style American Racing Shelby billet aluminum wheels with Nitto 555 performance rubber (245/45-ZR17 front, 315/35-ZR17 rear) further enhance the look, and the grippy 555's keep this ride stuck to the pavement. Once you get past the initial visual impact of the car, you'll start to see more of the attention to detail that was shown in the build. For starters, get up close to the hood, and you'll see a Lexan window almost hidden in the black stripe, which shows a hint of the nastiness lurking under the hood: a Roush-built, 551 horsepower fuel-injected 427 with an eight-stack fuel injection setup, reminiscent of a vintage Hillborn system.

Behind that mill is a performance-built C6 transmission with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit, controlled by the Line Loc-equiped B&M Ratchet Shifter. The C6 twists a set of 3:55 gears in the Currie-beefed...

1966 Mercury Cyclone

View Description

Sporting a bright red paint job this Cyclone looks to be doing 120 MPH while it is standing still. White bucket seats with black inserts and a center console that has a Hurst 4 speed shifter sticking through it that looks longer than it should but feels just right. This '66 Comet Cyclone GT is powered by a 390 cubic inch that has an Edlebrock intake and Holley four-barrel Carburetor and enough cam to give it the proper sound and power you would expect from a car named after a force of nature. An aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool and happy. Backing this power plant is what I believe to be a Ford top loader four speed manual transmission. What better way to shred your tires than dumping the clutch at 4,000 RPM and watching you rear view mirror as the bellowing white smoke obscures your view. All the power and torque are fed to the Ford nine-inch rear axle housing which is up to the task of torturing the tire. With this much power at your right foot it is...

1966 Mercury Cyclone

View Description

This rare piece of American history is believed to be one of only a handful made with these exact options and the factory installed fiberglass hood. Decoding the trim tag indicates that this car is an original 'S' code 390 CID V8 car. The 'S' code engine in 1966 was said to put out 335 horse power conservatively rated, and 427 foot pounds of torque. The interior and exterior have been beautifully restored to their original specifications, Red paint and White vinyl. Unlike the Comet Cyclone GT's counterpart, the Ford Fairlane, this car was a very limited production number vehicle. The limited production numbers of the Comet Cyclone GT is what brings the car in to a whole different realm of collectability. If you are looking for that rare muscle car era car that is next to...

1969 Mercury Cyclone

View Description

The Cyclone Cobra Jet was offered by Mercury for one year only, during the peak of the big block power craze. It is the engine of course that sets the Cyclone CJ apart from the typical Cyclones. This car sports its original 428 CID which was rated by Ford at 335 horsepower and 440 pound feet of torque, (although many believe this to be underrated). This CJ has a C6 automatic transmission running to a 9' rear end housing 3:50 gears with Trac Lock. The car has been beautifully restored including a stunning coat of black paint that looks so deep that you could reach your hands right in. Also included in the restoration was an engine and transmission overhaul done to standard bore, standard...
