The Mercury Park Lane was produced from 1958 to 1960 and from 1964 to 1968. It was a full-size automobile that was intended to compete with Buick's Roadmaster. It was available as a hardtop sedan, hardtop coupe, and a convertible. At one time this particular Parklane Convertible was owned by professional football player Ellis Johnson. Ellis played 10 years in the NFL, 1st with the Colts (95-01), then the Atlanta Falcons (-02 & -03) and finished out with the Denver Broncos (-04). Ellis had the 390 CID V8 replaced with a much healthier 460 CID Crate engine, Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock Intake, MSD Electronic Ignition and Flowmaster exhaust to wake this great big convertible up.
