Now just a little history about this car. In 1929 the Cord Corporation was formed and made some of the most desirable cars that are still very sought after today. Cord, Auburn and Duesenberg. But trouble was on the horizon and they just could not sell enough during the Great depression to remain solvent. The Word war II hit and that was the knockout punch. In the '60's there was an effort to bring the name back and just a few were produced. Then in 1967 William Lear the mastermind behind the Lear jet got involved and formed SAMCO or the sports automobile manufacturing company and for a couple of years turned out a hand full of Cords and this is where this car was built. I explain all this so that you will understand that this is NOT a kit car! Powering this 1969 Cord Warrior is a 289 Ford small block V8 that is currently equipped with an MSD distributor, blaster 2 and ignition box.
