This rare 911 E was purchased by its current owner 15 years ago, at that time the seller, believed he was the third owner. The previous owner had the car for about ten years and drove it every weekend. The car was repainted in 2005 Porsche 'Arctic Silver' (paint code L92T) in the summer of 2005. The original color of the car was blue. The entire interior was reupholstered in Black 'German vinyl' matching covers and the seat springs/ padding was replaced. The AM/FM radio was upgraded with a new 'old school style' radio, which has a plug for iPod (in the glove box) and looks perfect in the dash. The exhaust system was replaced, and the brakes upgraded, and the dual quad Weber carbs were rebuilt. Several rubber lines were replaced with steel. The car is very stock overall. The car has been to several local Porsche Club of America (PCA) events and won a couple of awards for various 'best of' categories. This last of the Air Cooled series Porsche is a masterpiece of a car in every aspect. It started life in Connecticut as a black car, beautiful in its own right, but it has now been professionally painted in the most sought out, beautiful, and rare of the Porsche colors, Riviera Blue, very few made in this color. This unique and perfect Porsche went through a complete disassembly to properly apply an undetectable color-change by a highly respected Motorsport shop. This show condition Porsche has been garaged its entire life, proof is in the rubber seals that still show the original white powdering coating from the factory, and not a single crack in the dashboard. It has never been raced, and the 61k original miles were drives throughout the years on sunny weekends and to local PCA shows, where it has won Best of Show, People's Choice and Air Cooled Class awards.
