Chrysler designers were given free rein to design a 30s style hot rod roadster to follow up the show stopping Dodge Viper. Chip Foose helped with the design by drawing up a coupe with similar proportions. Chysler's guys preferred a roadster so they chopped the top off that design and ended up with an open wheel, open top design that has since become immediately recognizable. Chrysler took this all new body design and stuffed in a 3. 5 Liter V6 which made comparable power and torque figures to their V8 engines of the time. Power was transferred via a 'torque tube' to a rear mounted transmission which helped with weight distribution. The later cars used an aluminum version of the 3. 5L which also helped with weight. This is a prime example of late 60-s Muscle. With less than 10,000 miles on it since it received a rotisserie Restoration completed by Greg Carlson in Rock Island, IL. The previous owner wanted this to be as close to a GTX restoration as possible. The right engine! -' 440 Super Commando - Rebuilt in 1994, engine was out of a 1968 GTX. The Correct Transmission! -' 727 Automatic transmission w/ shift kit, also rebuilt in 1994. Posi Traction Rear end with 8-3/4 gears. Also equipped with features like Power steering, Power Brakes, Deluxe Bumper Guards, Correct Magnum Rallye Wheels and red line tires and aluminized dual exhaust with correct chrome extensions that emit a healthy growl when you step on the Gas! The Glass all around is in excellent shape as well as the overall chrome accents throughout the car. The entire car was repainted red with the black racing stripes. The Engine compartment, trunk and complete underside of the car was also painted to look better factory.

Plymouth certainly hit the mark when they came out with these modern roadsters. With a total of 2 owners and a clean history, this car has certainly been well cared for and only driven on nice days.

Powered by a 3. 5L V6, this car can still get up and go being on the lighter side. The automatic transmission makes driving enjoyable without wearing down your knees sitting in traffic. Ceramic coated headers running to X piped dual exhaust, the car has a nice sporty sound to it. For added performance a K&N 'Snorkel' intake was added as well.
