Powered by a strong running 400 CID Pontiac V8 paired with a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission, this Trans-Am is ready to roll. This Firebird also has a rather unique option not often discussed; known as the -Rallye Shifter,- it was essentially a factory ratchet shifter. After numerous blown engines from street racers pushing the gear shift from 1st to neutral on accident, this option was introduced in 1969 and was offered on some vehicles to reduce warranty claims.
Unfortunately, the power of late 70s muscle cars never quite matched the good looks. Knowing this, the seller of the vehicle has opted to pump up the power output with a few subtle upgrades. An Edelbrock performance carburetor and aluminum intake were installed to get air pumping into the engine with ease.
