Based on the 924 platform, the 944 was a front engine, rear drive sports car offered from 1982-1991. Up front you'll find a 2. 5 Liter Inline 4 cylinder which mates up to a 5 speed manual transaxle gearbox located all the way at the rear of the vehicle. The result is a perfect 50/50 weight distribution between the front and rear. This makes it a predictable car to drive enthusiastically. There are even racing divisions specifically for 944s since they make such good race cars. This particular example is a road going 944 with all the interior luxuries like cold AC, leather seats, and a stereo. The exterior is bright red which is the factory finish.
