Based on the 924 platform, the 944 was a front engine, rear drive sports car offered from 1982-1991. Up front you'll find a 2. 5 Liter Inline 4 cylinder which mates up to a 5 speed manual transaxle gearbox located all the way at the rear of the vehicle.
