The Porsche 911 is a timeless automobile famous for its elegant body lines and rear-engine configuration. When introduced in the late nineties, the Type 996 was most noted for switching out the 911's air-cooled motor in favor of an upgraded water-cooled 6 cylinder. This was a bold move for Porsche but it proved successful as the 911 still remains in production as one of the greatest exotic sports cars. The Type 996 also received significant cosmetic changes such as the redesigned flattened headlamps- though it kept the iconic 911 shape that enthusiasts continue to praise.
