This plane Jane Biscayne is powered by a mild small block and shifts through a Power Glide automatic transmission. The Biscayne was an entry level full size car from Chevrolet. Many will confuse this car for it's well known big brother, the Bel Air. The Biscayne was a hit with the hot rodders of the day, primarily due to the lower weight thanks to the lack of equipment. They could also be equipped with the same power house engines that were fitted in lot of Bel Airs. The sedan body style 'B' pillar, added structural strength to the car and was a big benefit to drag racers.
