Carroll Shelby is an automotive icon who hooked up with Ford in the mid 60s. Shelby's Mustangs were high horsepower variants of Ford's pony car. In 1969, Carroll Shelby cut ties with Ford and ceased production of his very hot GT350s and GT500s, although some unsold '69 models were sold as '70s. Powering this GT500 is its original 428 CID Cobra Cobra Jet V8 which was rated at 335 HP. The 428 that powered Shelby's GT500s was a Police Interceptor engine which was a whole lot more fun in a Mustang than a police cruiser. Backing the big block is a 4 speed manual transmission which shifts like new. This Shelby has undergone an extensive professional restoration and looks like it would have when it rolled off the showroom floor. The car is finished in its original Pastel Grey, which shows as white, and blue stripes. The 2nd generation of Corvette is arguably one of the most desired body styles built to this day. In 1967 only 22,940 cars were produced that year. Of that 8,504 1967 Corvette Coupes and 14,436 Convertibles were produced. Even fewer came with the 427 CID Big Block V8, this example even has the Tripower 3x2 carburetor/intake set up. This monster of an engine was factory rated at 435HP and is mated to a Muncie M-22 'Rock-crusher' 4-speed manual transmission. According to the owner of this beast, the engine was rebuilt in 2022. This is a very special Callaway commemorating their 25th year in business. Callaway has been tuning and tweaking Corvettes since 1987. A lot of the earlier Callaway Corvettes featured twin turbos and Speedster convertibles with low windscreens. One of the more well known Callaway Corvettes was known as the Sledgehammer. This wild Machine was reaching speeds north of 250 mph!

Today we are looking at their very special limited edition and numbered vehicles that were built off of a Grand Sport Corvette. Callaway received 25 Grand Sports from Chevrolet. They were all painted Cyber Gray Metallic with Ebony custom leather interior with Red stitching. This example is #15 and has 1,615 miles.
