The California Special edition was originally introduced in 1968 as a limited run special edition. This was an appearance package which could be added to a Mustang GT. The package included Fog lights, hood pins, side scoops, a deck lid wing, and Thunderbird tail lights. Less than 5,000 of the 1968 GT/CS were produced making them rare and sought after. Ford paid homage to these 1968s by bringing back the package in 2007. The new version of the package adds the following to a Mustang GT: two tone leather seats, unique floor mats, side stripes, side scoops, rolled exhaust tips, unique front and rear bumpers, and 17' polished wheels. This particular example has been nicely upgraded to wring out a few extra ponies. The 4. 6 Liter V8 has been nicely massaged with the addition of a Cold Air Intake, larger throttle body, and new exhaust. The exhaust features shorty headers and a Flowmaster Cat back system.
