Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to present this neat 1963 Chevrolet Nova white on red convertible.
The Chevrolet Nova didn't start off as the in-your-face loud and powerful muscle car that we typically remember. In the early sixties American performance cars were still a little more, easy-going. Chevrolet built the Chevy II in a number of variations including sedan, coupe, convertible, and station wagon. The Chevy II was built on the x-body platform, shared with other GM cars like the Buick Skylark and the Pontiac Ventura. The Nova nameplate was exclusively a trim level on the Chevy II from 1962-1968 before becoming a stand-alone model. The Nova SS trim always sat higher on not just price, but performance most of all.
If haven't driven a Nova convertible before, just know that it's a very fun experience. The car is pretty small and lightweight so you don't feel much drag as you get around corners at high speeds. The sound and feel of the rumbling 327 V8 is sensational. Quick and smooth. With a white exterior this Nova appears sleek and simple. The red vinyl interior really does it for this car too. An overall fun Nova convertible enthusiasts will appreciate.
