Cheers, The Cosby Show, and Growing Pains were airing on the TV as this Chevrolet was rolling off the assembly line. You might have heard Billy Idol playing on the local radio station as you drove this car down the road. Sitting down in the car you'll swear you can still smell a slight sense of that new car smell, amazing! It'll take you right back to 1987 in a flash of a second. Under the hood is a 305 CID V8 TPI engine backed by an automatic transmission. The originality of this Camaro is stunning. The largest visual change in '87 was the CHMSL (third brake light) was now mounted inside the rear spoiler instead of on top of the rear hatch (except the base coupe without the spoiler option - on those cars it remained on top of the hatch like the previous year). The Berlinetta was no longer available this year, replaced with a new LT model, while the base Camaro and Z28 continued as before. 145 mph (233 km/h) speedometers became standard in the IROC-Zs and Z28s with tuned port injected engines while the carbureted Camaro models and 2.8 liter v-6 retained the 85 m.p.h. speedometer. This example has been stored inside a garage out of harm's way and you'll see that the exterior holds its original Flame Dark Red paint. The interior is made up of light grey cloth with white piping.
