This 1963 Chevrolet Nova Station Wagon is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1963 was the second year for the Chevy II line of vehicles. The Chevy II was the entry level compact car for Chevrolet after the dismal performance of the Corvair. Offered in a variety of trim levels with the coveted SS in debuting in 63, the Chevy II was an instant success. The station wagon shared the same body lines and was welcomed by the public as well with sales reaching almost 60000 in that second year. Though normally people don't think of a wagon as a "muscle car" one ride in this beauty and they will be singing a different tune. This extremely well built one of a kind four door can haul a lot more than just groceries. Pop the hood and the stroked out 383 rest nicely between the frame rails and looks right at home. The cast iron High volume Vortec heads are matched to an Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb giving it plenty of low end torque. The electronic ignition makes it a lot more reliable and ofcourse a little more powerful. The Sanderson headers take care of any spent gases while adding tom the low rumble of this stroker motor. Mated up to a built TH350 transmission that is controlled through the classic LOKAR shifter as with everything on this car it not only performs but looks great doing it. The front end has been treated with Ingelnes power rack and pinion set up making this thing an absolute breeze to drive. Add to that a set of powered disc brakes up and the front end is pretty much exactly the way you would want it. Open the door and the first thing you will notice is the factory looking under dash AC. Though it appears factory it is actually a modern unit provided by Vintage Air and does an excellent job keeping everything nice and crisp inside. The interior is period correct materials and color which was recently completed and it shows. The cruise control is an option that you would not have found in 63 but the owner decided to install it as it was intended to be driven on longer trips. The I DID IT steering column looks great and with the added luxury of tilt it really gets no better. It even has the luggage rack up top and with the surfboard as an added bonus the whole car just screams COOL. Options on this 1963 Chevrolet Nova Station Wagon Include; AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt, Cruise Control, Vinyl Interior, Hub Caps and Radial Tires.
