While there has been a few iterations of the Camaro that helped get it up to an iconic status in the American sports car world, the cult following for the third generation has been rapidly growing. Introduced in 1982, the Camaro now featured a more aerodynamic design and a chassis now shared with the Firebird/Trans AM featured in the Pontiac lineup in GM. The 3rd gens started out with a 305 cubic inch V8 that went through a couple versions including the LB9 that is featured under the hood of this teal convertible beauty. The LB9 is more notable and desirable version as it packed the tune port injection intake manifold and different heads that featured smaller combustion chambers for a higher compression ratio and better fuel deliver resulting in horsepower numbers up to 220. The LB9 is accompanied by an external mounted supercharger to help increase horsepower even more and help glue you to the back of your seat on takeoff. Bolted to this mean powerplant is a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive making for a good balance of take off power, good cruising speeds, and ease of use. The Camaro is equipped with air conditioning, AM/FM radio with cassette, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power seats, power windows, power windows, and a manual convertible top for the weather permitting days when the time is right to let the sun and wind into your pleasure cruise.
