For sale in our St. Louis showroom is classic big block 1972 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Tribute. Yenko Chevrolet was located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania and was owned by Don Yenko, a retired race car driver and muscle car aficionado. Mr. Yenko retooled Novas, Camaros, and Chevelles to compete with the Barracudas, Challengers, and Mustangs of the time. The "Yenko SuperNovas" as they came to be called featured a strengthened the frame and suspension to accommodate for larger and more powerful 427 CID V8 engine. Thirty-seven SuperNovas were known to be produced, of which only seven are believed to be remaining. The color combination is second to none on this 72' Nova, finished in a beautiful black exterior paint against a fabulous red vinyl interior. The entire driveline (engine, transmission, and rear end) has been recently rebuilt and has only traveled and few hundred miles since the work was complete. A 454 CID big block V8 powers this Yenko clone, and is matched to a turbo 350 automatic transmission, which then tranfers the muscle to the 10 Bolt Posi-Trac rear end, and features 3:55 gears. An Edelbrock intake and Holley carburetor have been added to the 454 big block to increase performance and horsepower. To help the big block stay cool, a big aluminum radiator has been installed and works fabulously. Options for this 1972 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Tribute include: Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, BF Goodrich Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and American Racing Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. The professional black paint looks outstanding, especially against the all new chrome trim, grille, and bumpers. The cowl hood and the Yenko hood decals provide an aggressive and unique look to the build. The new red vinyl interior looks terrific and is truly the perfect accent to the black exterior and red decals. The undercarriage has been well cared for as well, having undergone a POR15 rust prevention treatment. New bushings have been installed to help the suspension and provide a smooth ride on this classic muscle car. The new Torque Thrust American Racing wheels that sit on BF Goodrich Radial T/A's complete the overall look of the build.
