For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 Chevrolet Nova. This beautiful Nova has a lot going for it. Big power comes from a large displacement small block, 406 cubes! It sounds so good! Tuned Hooker Headers and 3 inch Flow Master mufflers make for a great rumble. Helping make good power comes from a set of Weiand Heads, roller rockers and a Weiand single plane intake manifold with a Holley 770 Street Avenger carburetor. This built engine is sending power through a stout TH 400 automatic transmission and back to a 10 bolt rear end housing an Eaton posi carrier with 3.08:1 rear gears for hitting the open road. Slowing things down is no trouble thanks to four wheel disc brakes and modern high performance rubber. The car was totally disassembled and stripped to bare metal. The paint is slick and Hugger Orange. Breaking up a bit of the orange is a set of dark gray SS stripes and gray 17 inch Coys aluminum wheels. The ride height is just right thanks to 2 inch dropped spindles. It has all new weather stripping, door seals, new bumpers, and a nonfunctional cowl hood.

1968 was a big year for the Chevy II Nova. In 1968 and previous years, Nova was a sub model given to hardtop Chevy II’s lacking the “B” pillar. In 1969 all will be Novas and Chevy II dropped all together. 1968 was a major redesign and became a very popular car for the muscle car scene. Yenko even threw his name on a few called the Yenko Nova Deuce. The Yenko Nova Deuce cars bring big money, but we’re betting that you can have just as much fun for a fraction of the price with this sweetie. A few noteworthy details for this Hugger Orange Nova include, Hot Rod air conditioning and heat, aluminum radiator, transmission cooler, new fuel tank and sending unit, a new custom gauge cluster fitted with Auto Meter gauges, recent carpet, side panels, package tray headliner and seat covers. The dash pad is original and in good condition. This 68' Nova is ready for a new owner to enjoy it at local shows and cruises for years to come.
