Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is offering this 1967 Chevrolet Nova. The Nova story started with very humble begins for the 1962 model year. In the beginning all Novas were called the Chevy II. The Nova name was designated as the top trim package in the early years. A tried-and-true compact car build to compete with the Ford Falcon and designed to be more contemporary than the rear engine Chevy Corvair that's concept proved to be a little too wild for the average American car buyer at the time. Sporting a more traditional set up the Nova was a car Chevy promoted a reliable and efficient compact car that was only available with a 4- or 6-cylinder engine the first 2 model years, but by 1965 a V8 could be ordered scooting Chevys little grocery getter down the road quit quickly. For the first 2 generations of the Chevy II the car was offered in coupe, sedan, station wagon and convertible body styles. As the Chevy II progressed its image changed along the way and the car could be ordered with Chevy's prestigious Super Sport Package making 327 and 396 engines available and specialty Novas were even available from places like Yenko Chevrolet, NicKey Chevrolet and the internal GM C.O.P.O program suiting some of these Novas with the mighty 427ci rat motor!

Our featured Nova falls into the second generation that ran for just two short model years, 1966 and 1967. The second-generation Nova showcased a more formal and boxy design that proved to be very popular with car buyers. This generation completely stands out from the Novas and proceeded it and the ones that came after, making the second generation of the Chevy II a very unique body style.

Our featured Nova is finished in radiant pearl white paint accompanied by a black vinyl interior with white stripes and matching tinted window. This Nova will move down the highways and byways rapidly with the GM Performance Crate 350ci engine that's paired up with a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission that's linked to a B&M floor shifter. The car is also equipped with 3.73 posi rear end and MSD ignition. The Nova also sports a 15-inch Prime star shaped 5 spoke rims, Sunpro gauges, AM/FM stereo with 6-disc CD changer, power steering, a leather wrapped steering wheel, front seat belts and radial tired with less than 100 miles since installation. This Nova was originally titled in Colorado and is still a very solid vehicle today! Come take a ride into the past in this wonder '67 Chevy Nova!
