The term 'Hotrod' was used in the late 30's in Southern California to define the new phenomena of running modified cars over vast dried up lake beds. Others would say that the term came even earlier when the bootleggers would hop up cars to run illegal liquor during prohibition. The one thing that everyone will agree on is a Hotrod is an early American car that has been highly modified to go fast in a straight line. Unlike many of the renditions today, this particular Ford Hot Rod has been kept all Ford. The old adage -built Ford Tough with Chevy Stuff- does not apply in this instance. Sporting a 5. 0 liter HO Mustang engine with a T-bird AOD automatic transmission, this all Ford car cruises down the highway in style. A PRC aluminum radiator makes sure the engine stays cool.
