The F series line of trucks was introduced in 1948 as the 'Bonus-Built' truck. This was due to the simple fact that the new line was just that a completely new line. No longer were there trucks based upon a car chassis it was based on a completely new design. With all new sheet metal and a much larger cab the new F1 was an instant hit. This beautiful F1 has been painted in a gorgeous white pearl with a set of blue flames that have just a hint of green as they trail off. Besides the flame job, there is also quite a bit of pin striping on both the exterior and interior of this bad to the bone F1. The fiberglass fenders and running boards are done so good that if you weren't told they were glass you would think they were steel. The cab of this cool old Ford Pickup truck has been chopped 5 1/2 inches to help with the overall -slammed- look. Inside the cab, the interior is finished in nice custom gray tweed with aftermarket gauges to keep track of everything. It also has a little bit of tongue and cheek humor with such sayings...

This dazzler really, truly has it all. As you walk around, you'll notice the fine attention to detail that went into restoring this truck. Having undergone a complete rotisserie on every nut and bolt, it's destined for the looks it catches. With the engine and transmission being recently rebuilt, only 5950 miles have been put on it. Under the hood, we have a 350 Chevy small block backed by a TH350 (3-Speed) automatic transmission. This 48 was a frame off build that took 2 years to complete. The paint, a custom blend, will have everyone looking at the next show. The fiberglass fenders and running boards are done so good that if you weren't told they were glass you would think they were steel. The wood bed has a slick gloss poly over it with the chrome slats accenting it nicely. The wide white wall tires compliment the painted wheels and dog-dish hub caps nicely and complete the exterior look. Under the hood lies a small block Ford 302 that was bored. 030 over and gone through with an upgraded cam being added before getting reinstalled in the truck. It's tough to even know where to start with this custom Machine. The cab has been chopped 3', the door handles shaved, the headlights frenched, tail lights frenched, and antenna frenched. The rear window has been swapped out for a '52 F1 window and the hood has been pancaked. The front fenders come from a '46 Ford sedan. The running boards and bed are both completely custom made. The man hours involved in this body modification are countless. On top of that, a bright yellow paint job with custom graphics flanking each side has been added.
