The Cobra name has long been synonymous racing, performance, and motor sports. In 1962 Carrol Shelby teamed up with Ford for their racing engines and AC from Britain that developed a body suitable to cradle and V8 engine and hit the track. From there a racing legend was born! In the 1960s there few cars that had the ability to compete with a Shelby Cobra in speed and brute power. This was proved in 1966 when one of Carrol Shelby's Ford powered cars won the 24 hours of Lemans race, beating out Italian rivel Ferrari.

Everybody knows and loves a Cobra. The history behind these is incredible, and the builds today are getting amazing. This started life as a Factory Five kit. From there very little expense was spared putting this together. The business end is a personal favorite, because it is a crate 507HP Ford Racing Boss363. You have more horsepower than the original 427 big block, but with a lighter engine. Match that with how snug to the firewall the engine is and you have a recipe for a lot of fun. The transmission is a 5 speed Tremec TKO 600 close ratio transmission. The clutch is a Ram Ceramic HD clutch, and its all wrapped up in a quicktime explosion proof bellhousing.
