Jaguar certainly made their mark on the automotive industry when they introduced the E-Type. Introduced in 1961, the E-Type Jaguar had all of the cutting edge technology. Right out of the box the car was good for a top speed over 150 mph and 0-60 mph in less than 7 seconds. Technological advances included monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and independent front and rear suspension.
