There's no question the Mustang is one of Ford's biggest successes. Introduced in 1964, Mustangs have sold in grand numbers ever since. They've kept the same basic layout throughout 50 years: front engine, rear wheel drive, two door, and seating for four. It's a car that looks sporty, but can be ordered with a wide variety of power plants. This particular coupe has the 200 CID Inline 6 cylinder which would've been the base engine at the time. Many collectors nowadays prefer these engines for their reliability and simplicity. Popping the hood of this Mustang is rather refreshing compared to a modern vehicle. There are no plastic covers or computerized controls under this hood. Backing the 6 cylinder is an automatic transmission which delivers power to the rear wheels.
