This Camaro has been through over 5 years of thoughtful and painstaking build-out. Initially a mild restomod process was planned; but, as most car people know, things can go from mild to wild in just a few beats. According to its trim plate, it was originally LeMans Blue, however, it was completely stripped and treated to its nearly completely blacked-out look. With nearly $72K in paint and bodywork receipts documenting the extent of the time-consuming work involved in getting it to this awesome looking result, it's evident that its owner spared little expense in achieving the outcome he was looking for. Starting with a very clean 1969 Camaro, this black beauty was taken down to bare metal before the transformation began. A 6. 2L GM LS3 crate engine and a 4L85E 4-speed automatic transmission were selected for the powertrain, making this a 'daily-driver-ready' sled. However, in keeping with the desire to have a more unique look (than most LS-based restomod projects do in the engine bay), an Edelbrock 71413 LS3 Cross-Ram intake manifold was chosen for the top end; plus, twin custom-fabbed cold air intakes were built for it.
