The Pontiac Firebird was designed by John Delorean and Bill Collins and debuted in 1967. In March 1969, a $725 optional handling option called the -Trans Am performance and appearance package-, UPC -WS4- was offered. Named after the Trans Am race series, only 689 hardtops and 8 convertible models were made that year. That initial model year, customers could order any color combination they desired as long as it was Cameo Ivory with Blue accent stripes and Blue vinyl interior. This is truly a rare opportunity to own a number-matching original restored to show quality. There is no mistaking this historic car with its functioning dual hood scoops, air inlets on both front fenders and an aerodynamically tested rear deck spoiler. With only 689 of these legendary birds in existence, this car is sure to impress at any car show! In 1967 Pontiac introduced the Firebird line and from very early on it has easily distinguished itself as a separate breed of pony car. Little has changed for the first generation Pontiac in its three year sheet metal production; however in 1969 two changes to the F- body car would definitely shake things up. First, two new introductions to the fully functional Ram air design was about to emerge with the Ram Air III and IV, producing 335 and 345 horsepower respectively. Second, 1969 marked the first running of the Trans Am edition name tag and would shake things up for both GM corporate managers and the coming law suit from the Trans Am race series circuit. This is not your average Restomod by any means. There was no expense spared in the making of this top notch GTO. The first thing you notice on this GOAT is the Inferno Orange paint finish. Done on rotisserie, this shows beautifully on the custom body work. It sits on a frame that was completely reinforced (boxed in) and painted black after being sand blasted. The black tinted windows help tie the colors in together perfectly.

This car has a very serious suspension setup that has all the right parts. It has a complete performance suspension package by UMI that includes tubular control arms, and big sway bars with polyurethane bushings on the front and rear. On all four corners are QA1 fully adjustable coilovers. Steering is impressive on this with the addition of a rack and pinion steering system by Flaming River. It has a new tilt steering column with a new wheel. Braking on this beauty is supplied by a big brake package with crossed drilled and slotted rotors by Master Power Brakes.
