In 1969, Pontiac introduced 'The Judge' to be a low-cost GTO, stripped of features to make it competitive with the Plymouth Road Runner. The Judge was $332 more expensive than a standard GTO in 1969, and included the Ram Air III engine, Rally II wheels without trim rings, Hurst shifter, wider tires, various 'The Judge' decals, and a rear spoiler. The name 'The Judge' came from a comedy routine, 'Here Come de Judge', used repeatedly on the Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In TV show which aired in the late 1960's until the early 1970's. This specific Judge is wrapped in a shiny coat of Carousel Red which make the decals on this GTO stand out. At first glance you notice the deep burgundy paint and strong shine on the chrome. Upon further inspection it is easy to see that attention to detail was the driving theme with this build!
