The GTO is what many consider to be the one that started it all. Beginning in 1964 the GTO was offered as a performance package on Pontiac's intermediate size car the Tempest. It would be a surprise hit and open up the eyes of American Automakers. Move along to 1969 and the Muscle car wars were at their peak. Engines were big and powerful with body designs being sleek and smooth. This 69 is a great example of why everyone was going crazy for them. The Pontiac features its original 350 cubic inch Pontiac V8 which has been gone through and updated with a cam and intake with 4 barrel carb, providing a strong reliable package. she transfers energy through its original 3 speed automatic transmission back to a GM 10 Bolt Posi rear axle. Attached to this hefty V8 is a set of longtube headers. MSD Ignition and a 650 CFM Edelbrock carburetor. The car also features power brakes ensuring the best amount of stopping power, power steering, making for a pleasurable cruise in one mean muscle car.
