During the late 80s there were a few iterations of what GM made called the 'G-Body' including the Cutlass, the Monte Carlo, and the Regal. The Grand National was what you get when you take the Buick Regal, drop a V6 in it and add a turbo, making for one of the greatest sleeper cars made from the factory in car history. This Grand National has been taken above and beyond the call of being an unassuming performance Machine by rebuilding the original 3. 8 liter V6 to handle the boost coming from the much larger than stock turbo, which is pushing close to 18 psi of pressure through an intercooled setup featuring a larger wastegate and a Godzilla blowoff valve. The hopped-up beast of a powerplant is backed by a 200R4 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive which has also been beefed up to be able to handle the power this car is putting to the wheels. This combination at engine and trans makes for a street drivable car that can accomplish the 1/4 mile in the 10 second range.
