Chevelle was Chevrolet's midsize car brought out in 1964 it was an instant success. Originally made to compete with Ford's Fairlane the Chevelle, for the most part, destroyed the competition. The entry level 300 series soon became many hot-rodder's go to piece. The post body gave the Chevelle a much more Rigid platform which in turn was able to handle the ever increasing horsepower that the bigger displacement motors were churning out. Much like the tri five post cars the Chevelles were able to run under the radar leaving most people thinking they were entry level 6 cylinder cars. As a tribute to the sleeper cars of the late 60's and early 70's this 300 has had the ultimate 'sleeper' treatment given to it. At 1st glance, the unassuming Mountain Green paint, with matching steel wheels and the original dog dish hubcaps gives no indication of what is lurking under the hood. The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Fairlane and was suppose to reflect a car similar in size to the Classic Tri Five of the decade prior. They would go down as being some of the most memorable cars of our time. Available in a number of offerings in not only body style but engine and transmission as well. You could get anything from a base model 300 coupe with a 194 CI inline 6 with a 3 on the tree to a 4 door wagon with a 327 and a 4 SPD. If you wanted it chances are it could be found in a Chevelle. With its classic COKE bottle styling the 66 and 67 models were instant hits and have stood the test of time. This 67 was purchased at Mecum fresh off a full rotisserie restoration. The body is in very good condition with a period correct Nantucket blue paint job with a red pinstripe just to break things up a bit. This particular Chevelle is what we like to call a very nice driver. The factory blue paint is in good shape and just a little bit polish will really gleam in the sun. The Black vinyl top looks to be in excellent shape and with care will last for years to come. The black interior is very nice with bucket seats and a horseshoe shifter being items that everybody looks for when purchasing these true American muscle cars. The carpet is fresh along with a new sound system for your listening enjoyment. Under the hood you will find a healthy recently rebuilt 396 CID V8 that has been mated to a rebuilt 700R4 Four-Speed automatic transmission. This is a southern car and believed to have the original floors and frame. The trunk pan is original and solid as well. The hood was upgraded to a SS cowl induction to give it that muscle car look and fill.

Powered by a 350 CID V8 with an added rebuilt mild cam this car can get up and go in a hurry. Additional goodies include aluminum intake, Holley dual feed carburetor, electronic ignition, headers, and new dual flow master exhaust.
