Chevelle was Chevrolet's midsize car brought out in 1964 it was an instant success. Originally made to compete with Ford's Fairlane the Chevelle, for the most part, destroyed the competition. The entry level 300 series soon became many hot-rodder's go to piece. The post body gave the Chevelle a much more Rigid platform which in turn was able to handle the ever increasing horsepower that the bigger displacement motors were churning out. Much like the tri five post cars the Chevelles were able to run under the radar leaving most people thinking they were entry level 6 cylinder cars. As a tribute to the sleeper cars of the late 60's and early 70's this 300 has had the ultimate 'sleeper' treatment given to it. At 1st glance, the unassuming Mountain Green paint, with matching steel wheels and the original dog dish hubcaps gives no indication of what is lurking under the hood. Stuffed under the hood is a freshly rebuilt 454 engine (finished February 2014) and backed by a brand new Performance Automatic 700R4, this Chevelle 300 is ready to roll up anybody that gets in its way.
