Michael Jackson releases Thriller Album, the first CD player sold in Japan and General Motors was ending production of the C3 Corvette whose body dated back to 1968, but whose basic chassis design went back to the C2 of 1963! The Bowling Plant closed in October of 1982 to begin re-tooling for the new 1984 C4 Corvette. This Z28 has been through a host of updates and upgrades. Starting with a completely replaced interior (in the original factory color combination), this 1978 Camaro looks as good as it did when it was new. A few modern touches have been added, which include a complete set of AutoMeter Sport Comp II gauges, located in the original dash locations; a Kenwood Excelon sound system (head unit and TriAxial speakers in the rear deck, subwoofers in the trunk), and a Vintage Air system (to replace the original factory A/C). The rest of the interior from the headliner to the carpet, to the seats and interior panels, have been replaced with new materials, and the white synthetic leather seats complement the light blue interior very nicely.
