This beautiful -72 C10 Shortbed has less than 5000 miles on the engine since being rebuilt. Used by a hard working Ford employee, to go back and forth to work in, it was semi-retired in the late 80-s. At that time the 350 CID engine was rebuilt and dressed up with an aftermarket chrome kit. The engine is mate to the 3-speed manual transmission and posi-track rear end. The truck was painted the vibrant Red in 1986 using a paint called Imron. This paint is very tough and durable, which explains why the truck still looks so good 18 years later. Under the custom made bed cover (by the owner) you will find that the metal bed is just in good of shape as the rest of the truck. This beauty is powered by a 350 V8 with only 4,000 miles since it was rebuilt. The power moves through an automatic transmission. In 1978 all models got new, flatter dash trim panels, black on the lower two trims and aluminum-look on the fancier two. Base models received the flatter stainless hubcaps, and Stepsides got new squared-off taillights with built-in backup lights and side markers, while the rear fenders were smoothed out where the old side markers were. Fuel doors were added on models equipped with a bed to hide the previously exposed fuel caps.

The paint has been resprayed and the carpets have been replaced, everything else on the truck is believed to be original to the truck from the day it rolled off the assembly line. The Sky Blue and White exterior paint was professionally applied, we do not know exactly when, but it does look fantastic, and shines beautifully. The blue cloth bench seat has little to no wear, it has been very well kept over the years. The wood grain trim on the door panels and dash also looks almost new and accents the theme very well. A white vinyl bed cover has been installed and provides a great finishing touch to the sky blue and white color combination. This Cheyenne 10 features a small tool box at the bottom of the truck bed where you keep your valuables under lock and key. The odometer reads 57,370, which is believed to be the original mileage on the truck.
