This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone is powered by a rebuilt 462 CID Big Block V8, backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a 12 Bolt posi-traction rear end with 1,000 miles on the build. The engine started out as a 454 CID big block that was bored. 040 over to a 462 CID, pumping out about 550 horsepower. Sitting on top of the monster big block is an Aluminum Intake and a Demon 4-Barrel Carburetor. Other nice options under the hood include: Polished Valve Covers, Chrome Power Steering Pump, Optima Battery, Aluminum Radiator, Electric Fan, Aluminum Fan Shroud, K&N Air Filter, Ceramic Coated Hooker 'Super Comp' Headers, Mallory Distributor, MSD 6AL Igntion Box (located in the interior),and a MSD 'Blaster 2' Ignition Coil. The TH400 transmission sports a mild shift kit, transmission cooler, a 3,500 stall converter along with a Hurst 'Quarter Stick' ratchet shifter that makes this a blast to drive.
