There are plenty of 'old cars' on the market today but this one deserves a second look for sure. This Springtime Yellow 500 began life in sunny Georgia where it was sold new at Carey Paul Ford and that is where she stayed until a few years ago after being with the same owner for nearly 45 years. This car still has the original keys and the original bill of sale is included.

If you want to see what one of these looked like new now is your chance. The body panels are the same that were stamped in the Ford factory and the doors, trunk and hood close and line up like a new car of that time period. To make sure this car was brought back to its former glory a base coat/clear coat finish refreshed the old paint and the bumpers have been re-chromed as well as all glass replaced.

The interior has been completely restored including new door panels, seat covers, headliner, kick panels and carpet. Sitting in this car you are brought back to the fabulous '60's with that bench seat and beautiful plastic steering wheel...

Every car has a story and this one is rather incredible. The original owner was left a Rambler when her husband passed away and didn't care much for it so in 1969 she drove to a local Chevrolet dealership to trade in that old Rambler on this beauty. She must have really appreciated this car because it received meticulous maintenance and care as she drove it over the next 9 years and accumulated only 29,000 actual miles as of 1978. After being stored for next nearly 3 decades the car was again brought out to the light of day in 2006 and received some 'sprucing' up to bring it to what you see here today. The car still retains approximately 70% of the original paint and the original brocade cloth interior and carpeting that look well preserved. From the factory, the 3/4 ton frame trucks were only given the option of a lethargic 350 CID small block Chevy V8. While that was good for putting around town, it hardly did any favors when it came to off-roading or towing a heavy load. To resolve this, a 402 cubic inch big block V8 was installed with the appropriate TH400 automatic transmission was put in its place to give this truck the power it deserved from the factory. A heavy-duty 4X4 system with locking front hubs is equipped as well, to make sure that the weather is never an excuse to stay in.
