1968 marked the first year of the newer, sleeker more round body styling. Sales took off with the new look and to this day is what people know a Chevelle to be. Originally from Texas, this car was completely gone though to bring it to the beautiful condition it is in today. A very potent newly built 396 was dropped in that had a new intake and Holley 750 4 barrel sitting on top just to give it a little more power. This motor was rebuilt in Texas in 1996. Just to insure that motor stays cool and continues to run smooth a new aluminum radiator with dual fans was installed. The transmission is the original, highly sought after, Muncie M-22 with the classic Hurst shifter that came in the car. It has been rebuilt as well with all receipts confirming the work performed.
