She has received a mild cam during restoration pumping power slightly, and adding the classic muscle car thump. This powerplant allowed the car to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in just over six seconds. sending the V8 power to the 8-3/4 LSD rear end is a Mopar A833 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. This beautiful frame off restored Super Bee has only been driven 150 miles since completed. It was the company's low-priced powerful muscle car, derived from the design of the Plymouth Road Runner, and retailed at USD$3,027 on the consumer market. The origin of the name, 'Super Bee', has its basis in the 'B' Body designation pertinent to Chrysler's mid-sized cars, including the Road Runner and Charger. The Super Bee was the affordable Muscle car from Dodge, the Road Runner's brother. Power started with the 383 big block and went on to include the 440 and the 426 Hemi. The Super Bee was based on the Dodge Coronet but stripped down a bit. Removing equipment that was not necessary for the gear head with a budget and also losing a little weight at the same time.
