The El Camino became, arguably, the most practical muscle car by 1970 as a response to the Ranchero which was, by now, based on the Ford Falcon. That's why you could get an El Camino with the Super Sport package and an almighty engine under the hood. This particular example comes with the 7. 4-liter 450 horsepower V-8 engine. This SS has a new interior, complete rebuild on the front end and rear end. It also has a Ron Francis wiring kit, southern A/C, a new gauge cluster and Procar racing buckets. There is a new cam/lifter set, new exhaust system, new fuel tank, This El Camino rides on new air shocks, new wheels and tires. Though the front end is from a 1970 El Camino I assure you that this is actually a '71. This El Camino is powered by a turn-key fuel injected LS2. With a 4L60E transmission getting through the powerband is a breeze. This LS2 engine came from a 2006 Corvette with only 300 miles since installation on the El Camino. The aluminum radiator with dual electric fans will help keep her cool when taking her out to the local car cruise or show during the hot summer heat. With a larger air intake, this El Camino takes in a bit more air for better performance. It does get better than a classic car that can be daily driven with the reliability of a modern drivetrain.

This beautiful El Camino shows well in a bright fire engine Red and of course the dual Black stripes make it go faster as we all know. Besides this great color it also has 17' American Racing wheels wrapped in Sumitomo tires. With the added front disc brakes, stopping comes easily for this '71 El Camino.

The original engine is long gone and was replaced with nice crate 396 big block. It fires right up and sounds healthy. It has that crisp, galloping idle us car guys all love. The engine bay is super sharp with lots of nice chrome and attention to detail. PS, PB and AC are at your command.
